The argenx US commercial team is looking for a Senior Director, US HCP Marketing Indication Lead that will lead commercialization efforts for our near-term rheumatology indications (including Myositis and Sjogren’s Disease).

This role will be an integral member of the US HCP Experience Community and will play a critical role in building future growth for argenx as we expand our footprint into the rheumatology therapeutic area. This role will be responsible for leading and ensuring appropriate alignment of the marketing and promotional strategies in the US for advanced future pipeline indications in development for rheumatology, including Myositis and Sjogren’s Disease. This role will work across cross-functional colleagues (including Global Portfolio Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning & Readiness, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Patient Marketing) and will work collaboratively to define and implement a marketing strategy to ensure commercial success.
This role will be based in Boston, MA and will report to the Vice President, US HCP Experience Lead.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead development of US VYVGART (efgartigimod) Rheumatology strategy and promotional plan
Serve as HCP Marketing Lead for the Indication Strategy Team; partner with cross-functional colleagues to assess competitive landscape and market trends, develop brand identity to prepare for product launch, identify commercial risks or critical issues, and recommend innovative customized strategies to mitigate
Lead the development and execution of indication launch plan and deliver on post-launch performance tracking such as Latest Estimate (LE) forecasts and Quarterly Business Insights (QBI)
Oversee development of product positioning and messages, disease-state and branded campaigns, and creation of personal and non-personal as well as branded and disease-state tactics
Oversee interactions with opinion leaders, advisory boards, and speaker bureaus and congress planning
Partner across the efgartigimod portfolio to identify and align the needs that differentiate the molecule
Develop and refine customer segmentation and targeting, and partner with customer-facing leaders to execute launch plans
Select and manage agency of record and marketing budgets to support activities and requirements
Foster a team culture of ownership, accountability, initiative, and engagement by regularly communicating the argenx vision and objectives to realize those outcomes
Skills and Competencies
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage, influence, and develop across cross-functional teams
Broad product-commercialization/marketing acumen including external campaign management, demand generation, market segmentation, digital marketing, strategy development and competitor assessment
Demonstrated success working in a US environment and driving transformation through strategic initiatives
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving; ability to articulate issues and lead a team to develop solutions efficiently
Relentless prioritization of business and commercial strategies and the ability to work with urgency and purpose to deliver results through customer-centric marketing
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to successfully launch new medicines and follow-on indications
Innovative mindset with the ability to infuse patient journey and voice throughout
A sense of urgency and a passion for helping patients and their communities
Education, Experience and Qualifications
10+ years marketing experience in biotech, pharmaceutical or other areas of life sciences, with a proven record of high performance and consistent results
Life sciences product in-line marketing and launch/product commercialization experience are required
Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to engage a diverse range of individuals
Collaborative problem solving, innovative thinking, sense of urgency, and a passion for helping patients and their communities
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or life sciences advanced degree preferred
Previous rheumatology experience preferred, particularly with rare or specialty biologics
