Tax Manager position at Kelly+Partners Accountants. The successful applicant will be a key player in Kelly+Partners’ growth, working with a variety of clients in a public practice environment. Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and local tax documents, including property tax returns, state pages, and federal, state, and municipal returns, extensions, and quarterly payments. Prepare tax provision schedules by reviewing, preparing, and consolidating provision schedules. Research federal, state, and local taxation issues to recommend tax strategies. Review and interpret new or revised laws to maintain compliance and update legislative materials. Review tax returns (1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S) for completeness and accuracy. Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to authorities. Develop and streamline procedures and worksheets for tax provision calculations. Analyze tax information to identify potential mergers and acquisitions opportunities and tax savings. Coordinate and maintain records for the firm and its clients; prepare and record book-to-tax adjustments. Adhere to legal requirements and professional standards; protect information confidentiality. Update knowledge through ongoing education and professional development; participate in professional organizations. Create and modify templates for letters, faxes, and firm literature; provide feedback to staff to ensure consistent formatting of workpapers. Liaise with clients and vendors; provide support to staff and affiliates. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. 4+ years of experience in tax preparation. Intermediate or above knowledge of CCH Axcess for tax preparation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. About the Company
