Role summary: CheckAlt is looking for a Risk & Compliance Program Director to help us scale our risk infrastructure, embed compliance into core workflows, and strengthen how we support clients, vendors, audits, and cross-functional teams in fintech, banking, and payments. This is a high-impact, hands-on role that brings structure to complexity, building durable systems that meet regulatory expectations, operational needs, and client obligations as we grow.

What You’ll Do

Operationalize Risk Processes

Maintain the enterprise risk register and track risk acceptances, mitigations, and committee follow-through

Drive corrective action plans, issue management, and regulatory control testing

Own compliance across FinCEN, Nacha, PCI, SOC, and more

Lead our Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) cadence

Own Client Due Diligence & Access Controls

Execute client onboarding risk reviews, questionnaires, and contractual risk checkpoints

Track ACH limits, onboarding conditions, and client-specific monitoring obligations

Standardize responses to client RFIs and due diligence requests across banking and enterprise clients

Partner with Security to document and improve access control governance and periodic reviews

Coordinate Compliance Across Teams

Monitor and translate changes in BSA/AML, Nacha, OCC, FFIEC, and GLBA guidance into clear internal actions

Ensure policies, procedures, and communications reflect current regulatory and client commitments

Enable Product & Onboarding Decisions

Embed risk assessments, approval thresholds, and exception logging into product development and onboarding workflows

Maintain risk approval logs for deviations, escalations, and risk acceptances

Help align legal, product, and operations teams around consistent decision-making frameworks

Support Audits, Vendors & Internal Reviews

Lead audit prep for SOC 2, PCI DSS, and client reviews with centralized documentation and process oversight

Manage internal readiness for risk committee, compliance testing, and remediation cycles

Improve vendor risk lifecycle by embedding control checks into procurement and performance oversight

Build Dashboards & Governance Infrastructure

Own KRIs, risk dashboards, and reporting for executive and board committees

Partner with SalesOps and Legal to embed risk checkpoints into Salesforce and contract workflows

Build scalable, repeatable systems that support growth without reinventing the wheel

Talents You'll Bring

5–8 years in fintech, banking, payments, or BaaS risk, compliance, or operations roles

Deep familiarity with regulatory framework, vendor risk, access control, client due diligence, and audit readiness

Proven success building scalable programs across multiple teams or business lines

Comfortable working in tools like Power BI, JIRA, ServiceNow, Salesforce

A systems thinker who loves building durable, cross-functional infrastructure
