Perform internal evaluations on various types of commercial real estate, primarily assets greater than $10MM. Domestic assets with some international components. Formulate and present a well-researched opinion of value on real estate collateral and opine on loan and asset risks. Conduct market research by contacting real estate brokers, property managers, and leasing agents. Prepare internal evaluations on CMBS assets and present opinions to the credit committee for discussion. Complete evaluations within compressed time periods (typically two to four hours). Conduct periodic loan surveillance on assets in the portfolio; evaluate loan and asset risks and report to management. Evaluate appraisals for accuracy, reasonableness, compliance with policies and underwriting guidelines. Collect feedback from the Underwriting team about appraisal, communicate with third-party appraisers, and maintain an audit trail of communications and revisions. Rate vendor performance to support recommendations for continuation on the approved appraiser and broker panel. Perform internal evaluations on some residential 1-4 family properties, domestic and international. Conduct property site inspections as needed and stay current on applicable appraisal regulations, guidelines, and industry standards. Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Seven (7) years of current experience in commercial real estate appraisal. MAI or advanced candidate preferred. Solid skill set in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Thorough understanding of Discounted Cash Flow models. Strong understanding of USPAP and Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; effective report writing and communication skills. Ability to solve problems, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to make decisions quickly and confidently based on analysis. Location and Compensation

This role can be based in either Bayview’s Coral Gables, FL, or New York, NY office, or remote. 100% in-office, Hybrid (Tuesday – Thursday), or 100% remote arrangements are available. Base compensation is expected to be $110,000-$150,000, with the opportunity for bonus compensation. EEOC
