The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy, and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine coordinates submarine platform procurement activities including the Columbia-class SSBN program, the Virginia-class SSN program, and the SSN-X program, supporting the future SSN platform and strengthening the submarine shipbuilding industrial base. Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst will provide support to the AUKUS Integration and Acquisition Office, serving as an advisor on submarine construction, maintenance, and acquisition. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with government and industry partners across the US, UK, and Australia to support the development of an SSN construction capability in Australia. Work with key stakeholders across the NAVSEA enterprise to integrate new technologies into submarine design. Support technical and industrial workforce planning, risk management, strategic advising, budget management, working group coordination, and technical assistance across directorate-wide activities. Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Master's preferred) Proven experience with DoD acquisition and coordination with international partners 20+ years experience in US Navy as a nuclear-trained officer or overseeing nuclear programs Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint) to communicate to decision makers Current DoD security clearance – minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment Additional Qualifications Desired, But Not Required: Service onboard a US submarine, preferably in a leadership role Experience with Team Submarine and NAVSEA Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes Seniority level
