Work independently to identify problem areas and escalate as needed to ensure tax returns, tax research, tax accounting, and tax projects are completed timely, efficiently, and accurately. Engage in tax projects including the implementation of new tax laws and moderately complex analyses of tax methods, processes, or calculations for compliance. Identify moderately complex tax-related issues and provide recommended solutions via research and documentation. Lead the preparation and review of moderately complex tax/accounting regulatory and tax compliance with limited supervision. Perform and document research and analysis on related accounting and tax issues. Guide team members and serve as a role model on moderately complex tax projects. Stay up to date with new tax and accounting developments and EY standard technologies and processes related to the role. Responsibilities
Prepare or review complex financial closings, tax compliance filings and other tax-related tasks. Compile and evaluate moderately complex data, computations, documentation, and tax/accounting technologies. Ensure service quality across identified delivery aspects and understand opportunity risk related to the Scope of Services. Develop, document, and align on processes to support internal teams. Demonstrate deep technical excellence in offerings and broaden technical skills across capabilities. Provide technical assistance within EY and mentor junior team members. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics. 4–6 years of increasingly diverse or moderately complex experience in related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently; some supervision skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with financial and tax applications (GoSystems, Onesource TP, CorpTax) as required by area of specialty. Proven attention to detail and good written and verbal communication. Willingness to travel and work in a balanced hybrid environment. Ideal/Preferred
CPA, EA, licensed attorney, PMP, or Six Sigma Black Belt (not required). What We Look For
