Overview
The Network Engineer provides assistance in all aspects of network management from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading existing networks.
Responsibilities
Analyze designs, specifications, and related documents.
Implement communications system requirements to support the distributed functionality of a software engineering environment.
Analyze network characteristics, troubleshoot problems and recommend procurement of and/or modifications to network components.
Qualifications
Ten (10) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Five (5) years experience with network tools: What’s Up Gold and NetFlow.
Three (3) years’ experience with DCID 6/3 and/or ICD 503 (Intelligence Community Information Technology Systems Security Risk Management, Certification and Accreditation).
Three (3) years’ experience creating firewall rule sets from analysis of network traffic.
Three (3) years’ experience with component validation of security devices.
Three (3) years’ experience integrating boundary solutions into customer networks.
Three (3) years’ experience configuring switches, routers, and firewalls.
Five (5) years’ demonstrated experience in Computer Network Operations, Protection Level (PL) 3 high/high solutions utilizing Layer 2 to Layer 7.
Designs solutions, integrates, configures, deploys, tests and provides support for network devices, interfaces and methodologies.
Plan and implement high-speed, scalable, fault-tolerant network topologies as applicable to WAN/LAN design; support server requirements including load-balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, and NAT where appropriate.
Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools.
Resolves complex network problems, operates network analyzers, WAN test equipment and network simulators.
Collaborates with Systems Engineers and cross-organizational teams to define requirements and ensure proper mission operations with minimal downtime.
Other Requirements
Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Ability to work with security systems and contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
Supports the Government in providing technical leadership to engineering teams and enforcement of design/implementation of trusted relationships among external systems.

Salary and Benefits The proposed salary range for this position is $103,800 - $218,100. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, wellness, retirement, continuing education, and time off benefits.
