About the Role We are seeking a seasoned
Senior Data Engineer
to develop enterprise-grade data platforms, services, and pipelines in collaboration with our team and clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for data, and problem-solving expertise.
Responsibilities
Lead and architect migration of data environments focusing on performance and reliability.
Assess and understand ETL jobs, workflows, BI tools, and reports.
Address technical inquiries related to customization, integration, and features of data products.
Design and implement database/data warehouse solutions in cloud environments (preferably AWS, or Azure/GCP).
Support an Agile software development lifecycle.
Contribute to the growth of our Data Exploitation Practice.
Qualifications
Ability to hold a position of public trust with the US government.
5-7 years of industry experience in software development and data engineering.
Proficiency with tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Postgres, Cassandra, Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, AWS services, Storm, Elasticsearch, Python, Java, C++, Scala.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
Experience with message queuing, stream processing, and scalable big data stores.
Experience manipulating large, structured and unstructured datasets.
Experience with data modeling, system architecture, and reporting.
Experience working in an Agile environment supporting cross-functional teams.
