Senior Data Scientist - AI role at Latham & Watkins. The role is located in the Downtown Los Angeles office and may be eligible for a hybrid schedule with in-office presence. Base pay range $160,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Liaise with stakeholders and the machine learning team to identify data science opportunities and define requirements Analyze data patterns and apply models for regression analysis, forecasting, probability analysis, and trending Design data extraction, cleansing, and transformations connecting disparate data sets via SQL Deliver actionable findings via Tableau and presentations to senior leadership Monitor production models and infrastructure for ongoing maintenance, configuration changes, and improvements to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information Qualifications
Proficiency in building data science models using Python or R Strong SQL skills to extract and connect data from multiple systems Experience with software platforms including MS Azure, AWS, and Power Apps Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience Minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on data science experience with at least three (3) years using Python; minimum of three (3) years in a senior capacity delivering data science solutions Benefits & Additional Information
