Overview
Title: Monitor, OCC Community Justice Support Center Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Lead Monitor, OCC CJSC Job Summary
The Monitor is responsible and accountable for monitoring Center participants and for maintaining a safe and secure environment. S/he will ensure that participants enter and exit the Center in an appropriate manner and remain in assigned areas. S/he will be responsible for monitoring and collecting urine drug screens from participants. The Monitor will reflect and display the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Job Function
Program/Department Responsibility: Supervise and monitor participants in all phases of daily routines including break periods. Monitor all educational and clinical classes/groups. Take accurate attendance of all participants. Maintain accurate communication log entries. Collection and documentation of urine screens. Write incident reports as needed and communicate concerns to program management. Provide transportation in assigned program vehicle when required. Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and trainings as directed. Prevent crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling participants. Provide support and assistance in any crisis situation. Maintain work schedule as directed. Other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor(s). Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibility Attend all assigned meetings. Actively participate in the Y’s Annual Campaign. Leadership Competencies

Education/Experience/Physical Requirements
Associates Degree preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience working in the criminal justice field. Must be able to work one evening per week and some weekends. Must cover additional shifts as needed. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have visual and auditory acuity in order to maintain security of the center. Must be able to sit, stand and walk during the work day. Must submit and pass drug testing upon hire. Computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams). Closing Statement
