Technical Project Manager, Data Migrations – Canopy, South Jordan, UT About Canopy: a fast-growing SaaS company building simple, efficient software for accounting firms. We aim to revolutionize the accounting space with modern, user-friendly software for a neglected industry. We recently secured $70M in Series C funding to help fulfill our mission. The Opportunity: You will drive the success of the customer onboarding process by overseeing end-to-end project management for data migrations. You will partner with R&D, Implementation, and the Data Migration team to keep projects moving and deliver a seamless customer experience. This is a high-visibility role that directly impacts client adoption and reports to the Director of Onboarding. This is a hybrid position in South Jordan, Utah (M, W, F in-office). What You\'ll Do
Own project management for data migration initiatives from initiation through completion. Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Implementation, and the Data Migration team to align on scope, resources, and timelines. Monitor project progress and proactively address risks, dependencies, and roadblocks. Lead and coordinate escalations by ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged and aligned. Use project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar) to track milestones, deliverables, and communication. Serve as the technical liaison between teams—translating requirements, priorities, and updates across departments. Provide clear, timely reporting and status updates to leadership and stakeholders. What We\'re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in technical project management in SaaS, with experience on data migration projects. Strong experience with project management software and methodologies. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including R&D teams. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem-solving, risk management, and escalation-handling skills. Bachelor\'s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience leading large-scale data migration projects within SaaS environments. Familiarity with accounting or financial software platforms. Project Management certifications (PMP, CSM, or equivalent). Why You Want to Work Here
