Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
As a Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the team of experts working on the development of advanced antenna systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Design and optimization of different blocks of antenna systems
Designing proof of concept systems and prototypes for the next generation of antennas
Design of RF circuitry in collaboration with the RF team
Design of automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory tests
Bring-up and test campaigns of active antennas
Leading and reviewing PCB layout
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
3+ years of industrial experience, especially in board-level analog/digital design
1+ year of experience in high-speed digital design, multi-gigabit SERDES, signal and power integrity
2+ years of experience in using schematics
2+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multi-meters
Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools
QUALIFICATIONS
Masters of Science or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering
Experience with project management of technical projects
Familiarity with analog electronic fundamentals (transistor circuits, op-amps, filters, etc.)
Experience in design, implementation, bring-up, and debugging of proof of concept HW and prototypes
Familiarity with power supply design
Previous work experience in programming
Proficiency in developing programs for instrument control

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $105,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
