Chiller Technician

Under the supervision of an assigned Facility Services Area Supervisor, the Chiller Technician is responsible for routine service, maintenance, and repair of centrifugal and screw chillers, along with related mechanical equipment in central plants. Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to ACCO’s large tonnage chiller accounts. Support repairs from delivery to completion. Participate in the “On Call” rotation for overtime service calls as per the local CBA. Complete scheduled maintenance within the designated timeframes. Attend monthly safety and team meetings to stay informed on policies, performance, and goals. Manage the two-hour rule, communicating with dispatchers and customers during troubleshooting. Follow safety policies and procedures diligently. Follow up on all quotes provided to customers. Coordinate with the Chiller Field Supervisor on customer opportunities and issues. Perform other duties as assigned by the HVAC Supervisor or relevant administrator. Qualifications
3-5 years of HVAC large tonnage service experience. OEM experience or factory training is a plus. Ability to perform routine chiller preventive maintenance. Experience with centrifugal chiller overhaul services. Skills in troubleshooting control panels, mechanical, and electrical components of chillers. Minimum of 5 years safety training and knowledge. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Strong computer skills are advantageous. Ability to organize and plan daily responsibilities effectively. Physical Requirements
Frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 50 pounds. Close vision and focus adjustment capabilities. Regularly sit, use hands, talk, and hear. Frequently reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. What’s in It for You?
