Overview
The Network Architect will provide Engineering (Journeyman) support to the Strike Planning and Execution Systems Program Office at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will provide weapon system strategic & tactical networking & network architecture support to develop multi-level security communications solutions for the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) for Tomahawk missiles with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Allies & Partners. The program which this position supports is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of a range of mission planning, control systems and execution tools that are developed and integrated in partnership with other NAVAIR program offices, other Services, and foreign nation customers/partners. This position is on-site work at the SECRET classification level but could potentially grow into TS/SCI.
Primary Duties
Perform Network Architecture functions combined with strong network engineering experience to develop strategic and tactical networking support to develop cross-domain multi-level security communications solutions for mission orders to Allies and Partners.
Performs programmatic or technical knowledge identifying, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems; guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems; and employing systems engineering methods and tools in the development of systems.
Develop and generate Systems Security artifacts required to transfer technologies for Allies and Partner nations with FMS cases.
Performs software acquisition functions, requirements management, design and develop software workflow, and resolve cryptographic issues and specific challenges associated with non-FVEY partner nations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in network engineering expertise is required.
Demonstrated experience in cross-domain multi-level security communications solutions is required.
Demonstrated experience developing a strategic and tactical network architecture with Allies and Partner nations is required.
Demonstrated experience understanding the design and development of software workflows is required.
Demonstrated experience decomposing software requirements into systems requirements and cryptographic requirements associated with partner nations.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university.
Three (3) years of recent and relevant experience.
Clearance This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance investigation you must be a U.S. citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required.
Compensation While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$115,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
