Lead Teacher - Early Head Start (Arbuckle) Early Head Start is a comprehensive federally funded school readiness and family support program for low-income and special needs children that promotes parents/guardians as the primary educator of the child. What You’ll Be Doing

Develops, articulates and implements lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum to execute current program goals Ensures team utilizes classroom materials and routines to promote an environment conducive to age-appropriate development, interests, and the needs of children with learning differences or special needs Maintains a safe and healthy classroom environment in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards, Title 5, and Title 22 Regulations Implements rules and practices in support of positive child re-direction Fosters continuous and interactive communication with families to support parent partnership agreements as required by Head Start Program Performance Standards Conducts required parent/teacher meetings as set forth by Head Start Program Performance Standards and Title 5 Conducts the ASQ and the ASQ/SE with children assigned to cohort Works on the Individualized Education Plan for each child assigned to cohort and updates with family up to three times per school year Maintains and updates written records and reports in accordance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and Title 5 in a timely manner Maintains open and friendly relationships with staff, parents, and program volunteers Commits to inclusive practice to accommodate children with learning differences and special needs Integrates Head Start Federal Mandates into classroom routines and curriculum plans and can articulate the practice Ensures personalized special services are provided to children with special needs (e.g., feeding, toileting assistance, including diapering, specialized equipment, and related supports) Attends required classroom, center, and organization meetings Performs related duties as assigned Qualifications

Associate Teacher Permit or higher required AA/BA Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field required with at least 2 years of direct classroom work preferred 3 ECE units of Infant Toddler Development required Supervision of teaching assistants and volunteers highly desirable Knowledge of Federal Head Start policies and procedures highly desirable Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Cantonese speaking, reading, and writing skills highly desirable Compensation

$38.68—$38.68 USD Additional Requirements
