MWH is currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic

Senior Project Manager

to lead large-scale, critical water/wastewater treatment plant construction projects. Projects may include integrated project delivery methods such as CM-at-Risk or Design-Build, or traditional Design-Bid-Build. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of project delivery, operations, and business development, functioning as a true seller-doer who can manage projects while building client relationships and contributing to our company's growth. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven record of managing complex, multi-million dollar water infrastructure projects. Essential Functions

Lead the planning, execution, and close-out of large-scale water/wastewater treatment plant projects (typically $50M - $300M+). Oversee project teams, including engineers, superintendents, field staff, and subcontractors, providing leadership and technical support. Monitor and control construction activities, investigating serious situations and implementing corrective measures. Procure subcontractors and materials through purchase agreements and subcontracts. Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded. Proactively manage project risks, change orders, and claims, protecting company interests. Ensure compliance with contract requirements, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards. Prioritize safety for yourself and your team, following company guidelines and policies. Perform additional responsibilities as directed by senior leadership. Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary contact for owners, engineers, and stakeholders. Maintain long-term client relationships through regular communication and performance. Advise clients on constructability, delivery methods, and project challenges. Lead or participate in partnering sessions, preconstruction planning, and progress meetings. Business Development

Identify and pursue new work opportunities in water/wastewater markets, focusing on existing clients and pursuits. Collaborate on strategic pursuits and proposals with marketing, estimating, and leadership. Represent the company at industry events and in presentations. Contribute to business development goals and regional growth plans. Financial Management

Establish and monitor project budgets, taking corrective actions as needed. Coordinate with finance teams on forecasts, cash flow, and costs. Provide accurate monthly reports. Team Development & Leadership

Mentor and develop project staff, fostering a high-performance culture. Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth. Promote collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment and accountability. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. At least 10 years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management on heavy civil or industrial projects. Minimum of 5 years on water or wastewater plant projects. Proven leadership in managing complex projects; design-build and CMAR experience preferred. Strong knowledge of water/wastewater systems, including piping, concrete, mechanical, and startup processes. Successful client relationship management and business development skills. Leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams, including self-perform work. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., CMiC, Procore, MS Project). Preferred Qualifications
