Overview

District Human Resources Manager - Seattle role at Penske Truck Leasing. The District HR Manager supports district field teams and collaborates with leadership to execute and implement human capital strategy. The position reports to the District Manager with a dotted line to the Area HR Manager, supporting 27 locations across Seattle, Tacoma, Bellingham, Pasco and Missoula, MT. The role fosters a culture of engagement, tailors regional human capital plans to enable an engaged workforce to meet customer needs, and implements HR practices and processes aligned with organizational initiatives across the District, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance. Major Responsibilities

Retention And New Associate Experience Administer and facilitate the District’s New Associate Experience onboarding program Lead, coach, and support onboarding Ambassadors across the district Train managers to ensure new associates receive appropriate onboarding support Identify trends and areas for improvement from onboarding, exit interviews, and associate feedback Collaborate with Area HR Manager and District Manager to address local retention challenges Talent Management Coach leaders in people management, process, and development of associates Support supervisors/managers in creating and following through development plans Monitor development plans and escalate as needed Prepare district-level succession planning documents and quarterly talent reviews Execute Area training plan and partner with location leaders on training completion Deliver new supervisor/manager onboarding and just-in-time training Ensure consistent technical training across the workforce Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning Collaborate with departments to determine staffing levels based on growth trends Provide staffing support and build local partnerships with technical schools and colleges Coordinate recruiting strategy with field recruiters and District Manager Associate and Labor Relations Build relationships to support a positive culture Advise on interpretation of HR policies, programs, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements Participate in investigations and provide recommendations with Area HR Manager Support Labor Relations partnerships and risk assessments HR Expertise & Compliance Maintain awareness of applicable employment laws and Penske policies Ensure compliance in compensation parity, wage-hour, I-9 and handbook acknowledgments Meet training obligations including Harassment Prevention and Workplace Violence Escalate compensation issues and coordinate with centralized compensation Partner with corporate resources for diversity, leave, accommodations, benefits, unemployment, workers' compensation, and safety Acquisitions & New Business Opportunities Lead integration and follow-up to assimilate new associates into Penske culture Provide ongoing integration support with onsite meetings, onboarding, staffing, and training Other Projects And Tasks

as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role (generalist, specialist, recruiting) or relevant field operations experience with Penske Bachelor’s degree required SHRM or HRCI Certification(s) preferred (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance preferred (state-specific requirements may vary) Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills Ability to analyze information and data; establish and maintain working relationships High level of honesty, integrity, and ethics Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic HRIS Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel 30–50% within the home district; overnight travel as needed Ability to work a schedule at the required location Completion of Penske employment application, background check and drug screening Compensation and Benefits
