Austin Road, Stockton, California 95215, United States. Starting Pay: $24.58/hr. Status: Full-Time | Immediate Hire. Schedule: Open availability required, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities
As a Railroad Switchman at ConGlobal, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of railcars within our terminal. You will monitor and align track switch points, inspect track conditions, and safely couple and uncouple railcars. This role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to operational safety. Monitor and operate track switches to ensure proper alignment for railcar movement. Inspect track conditions and switch points to identify issues affecting safe operation. Couple and uncouple air hoses between railcars as part of train assembly or disassembly. Replace damaged or broken railcar connectors (approximately 75 lbs). Communicate with train crews and yard personnel to ensure coordinated rail movements. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain awareness of surroundings and potential hazards in a high-traffic rail environment. Qualifications
2-3 years of rail experience desired Switching or conductor experience preferred Valid driver’s license Ability to always follow safety requirements and practices Reliable, punctual and a strong work ethic Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to climb ladders and stairs both off and on railcars Must pass a pre-employment background verification, physical and drug screening Federal regulations require compliance with safety standards. Cannabis use is strictly prohibited. If applicable, you will need to take and pass a drug screen if offered the position. Open availability Preferred Qualifications
