UES is seeking a Senior Director of AI Strategy & Integration. This leadership role will reimagine how AI transforms an evolving business and lead the cultural change needed to become truly AI-enabled. Responsible for leading and supporting the enterprise-wide design, deployment, and optimization of artificial intelligence solutions that will enhance UES’s growth, project execution, and company results. The Sr Director of AI Strategy & Integration has the opportunity to lead the design, build, and execution of UES’s AI roadmap to deliver positive business outcomes. This role is responsible for embedding AI capabilities into integrations, operations, and business processes to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation. You will partner with executive leadership, IT, data teams, and business unit leaders to ensure AI adoption delivers measurable outcomes aligned with the company’s strategic priorities. UES is flexible on location for this role; preferred locations are Orlando, Atlanta, or DFW. This is not a remote position. Responsibilities

Define and execute a company-wide strategy for AI integration, with a focus on scoping, prioritizing, coordinating with developers/IT, training, implementing, and evaluating value to fit business needs. Identify opportunities for AI-driven automation, predictive insights, and process optimization in areas such as acquisition systems integration, data analytics, and change management. Define KPIs and track business value delivered from AI initiatives, regularly reporting progress to senior leadership and the Board. Influence and persuade stakeholders to align with strategic objectives and initiatives through effective presentation and communication techniques. Develop and manage a roadmap of prioritized deliverables with focus on achieving commitment dates and successful deployment. Lead the implementation of AI tools and platforms, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems, workflows, and data infrastructure. Partner with operations and IT teams to prioritize initiatives, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget, while aligning with other complementary initiatives. Drive synergy and optimization initiatives to ensure we are maximizing licensed software capabilities without duplication. Develop strategic partnerships with external vendors, technology providers, research institutions, and industry consortiums to stay at the forefront of AI innovations relevant to UES priorities. Drive cultural adoption of AI by developing training programs, knowledge-sharing platforms, and best practices to build confidence and capability across the workforce. Establish frameworks for ethical, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies, ensuring responsible innovation. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology strategy, enterprise systems integration, or AI/advanced analytics, preferably within an engineering or industrial setting. Demonstrated success deploying multiple enterprise-scale AI or digital transformation initiatives, with examples of both successes and learnings. Strong knowledge of engineering workflows, data management, and systems integration. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-million-dollar programs. Excellent communication skills that translate technical solutions into business impact and engage all organizational levels. Understanding of AI governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks. Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail. Experience within the AEC industry and/or the ability to translate past experience into industry examples. Strong financial acumen and accountability. Relentless passion for AI; both learning and teaching. Travel Requirements

This position requires moderate travel, up to 40% of the time, in support of business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be scheduled or on short notice depending on project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work. Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. The role involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in-person interactions. The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms. The physical demands may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
