The Senior Estimator supports the project management team by delivering high-quality estimates on time. The Senior Estimator is responsible for developing and completing project-specific estimates based on input from Project Managers, supervising the Estimating team, leading estimating system training, and reporting to the Assistant Chief Estimator. Responsibilities
Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work. May create, maintain and upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies. Communicate and partner with project managers and general contractors to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time. Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure pricing incorporates all scope items. Qualifications
Knowledge: Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Job Complexity: Works on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Supervision: Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel (Team Lead). You bring over seven years of experience in electrical estimating. Strong communication skills and attention to detail; collaborative team player. Education: High School Diploma or GED required. BA/BS preferred. Experience: Seven (7) years of electrical estimating experience in commercial/industrial/high tech; 5 years with a design/build contractor. Licensure/Certifications: None required.
