Position Summary
The Product Manager will partner with the Senior Director to develop and execute a multi-year strategic plan for the business. This role supports the full lifecycle of product development and portfolio management from consumer insight generation and concept development to validation, manufacturing, testing, and launch. They will lead the design, development, and execution of product initiatives, ensuring alignment with consumer needs, brand strategy, and financial objectives. Close collaboration with teams in both the U.S. and China will be essential to ensure successful on-time, high quality product launches. The Product Manager will partner with cross-functional teams to bring products to market, enhance portfolio performance, and support innovation efforts. This is a fast moving, multi-faceted role, ideal for a pro-active, analytical, and organized team player with a passion for the consumer. Key Responsibilities and Competencies
Portfolio Strategy : Analyze market trends, category performance, consumer research, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and guide product planning. Define product vision and strategy to align with brand positioning and broader business goals. Apply strong financial acumen to evaluate product opportunities, build business cases, forecast ROI, and make data-based decisions that support sustainable growth. Product Development & Execution : Translate consumer insights into compelling new product ideas or meaningful product enhancements, crafting clear product stories that resonate with both internal stakeholders and consumers. Define product specifications, packaging, positioning, and pricing strategies. Partner with design, R&D and manufacturing to ensure feasibility, cost optimization, and production readiness. Coordinate product timelines and deliverables with operations, packaging, and supply chain teams. Support product testing, documentation, and compliance to meet regulatory and quality standards. Operate within agile or stage-gate frameworks to enable iterative product development and ensure timely execution. Use storytelling to align teams around the consumer need, communicate product value and drive decision-making through the development process. Consumer & Market Insight : Conduct ongoing tracking and analysis of market trends, competitive landscape, consumer behavior, and retail sales data to inform strategic decisions. Identify knowledge gaps and partner with insight teams to create research plans to address those gaps. Participated in consumer research initiatives, product usage tests, and competitive benchmarking to validate concepts and optimize product performance. Translate complex consumer research into clear, actionable insights that inform strategy and fuel innovation. Portfolio Management : Maintain product databases, support SKU rationalization, and portfolio optimization efforts. Monitor performance of existing products and provide actionable recommendations to improve competitiveness, profitability, and consumer relevance. Help manage product updates, packaging refreshes, and cost savings projects to ensure the portfolio remains efficient and aligned with business goals. Cross-Functional Support : Serve as day-to-day liaison between product management and key partners, including supply chain, brand marketing, customer marketing, insights, and sales teams. Support go-to-market plans and marketing content development. Ensure data integrity and timelines across product systems. Qualifications
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting product launches and cross-functional initiatives from development through execution. Proven ability to synthesize consumer insights and market data into actionable product concepts and strategies. Demonstrate experience in building business cases, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and aligning product decisions with financial and commercial objectives. Environmental Factors
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business 10%. Must be able to take evening and early morning calls with overseas colleagues & vendors. This role requires on-site presence Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere on Fridays. Technical Background
Highly proficient in MS Excel, Teams, Outlook. Proficiency in SAP, IBP, Power BI, Canva, ChatGPT and Other AI platforms is a plus. What we offer
