Overview

Sr. Region Planner, DC Planning - AMER at Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to our customers. You will join a diverse team across software, hardware, network engineering, supply chain, security, and operations to help deliver safety, security, and scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. This role emphasizes leading and supporting global infrastructure demand and supply planning for multiple AWS regions, aligning short- and long-range demand plans, and guiding capital expenditure decisions. Key responsibilities

Execute demand planning processes to develop infrastructure capacity plans for acquiring data center space and power, with cross-stakeholder alignment. Review long-term supply solutions and collaborate with Business Development and Capacity Planning to ensure demand is met. Program manage activities required to gain capital expenditure approval for data center infrastructure. Analyze planning models to identify risks and opportunities, resolving constraints by negotiating with demand and supply owners. Conduct scenario and root-cause analysis to inform data center capacity acquisition decisions. Define data requirements and metrics, enabling end-to-end data flow from capture to presentation and management. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and address business risks with scalable resolutions. Communicate ideas clearly to diverse stakeholders for informational or leadership approvals. Basic Qualifications

5+ years of program or project management experience Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, lookups, data cleansing, formulas) Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of driving process improvements experience Master’s degree or MBA in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent About the team and AWS
