Job Description

Our Site Leader is responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives. The Site Leader oversees all aspects of operations at the site, manages and leads a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaches and mentors the team to meet performance objectives, builds positive employee relations, and develops leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center. Responsibilities

Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and Lean initiatives to enable the functional area and the FC to meet and exceed business plans. Ensure overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience for inbound or outbound operations. Set clear requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold managers accountable. Leverage ideas from Operations and Area Managers to create improvement plans. Share best practices across departments, shifts, and networks. Collaborate with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, Sr. Operations Managers) to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives. Additional Job Elements

Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds. Perform frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching. Walk extensively within the FC, which is over a quarter mile in length. Stand and walk an average of 5 miles daily. Work in environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, or not air-conditioned. Access all areas of the building safely, including ladders, stairs, and gangways. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of Amazon work experience. 7+ years of management experience in manufacturing, production, or distribution. Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques. Experience with staffing lifecycle processes. Flexibility to work varied hours, including overnight, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience with contingent workforce during peak seasons. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations.
