Principal Consultant - GIS/Enterprise Asset Management . We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused GIS Consultant with experience in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems to support utility clients in optimizing spatial data integration, asset tracking, and operational workflows across water/wastewater, electric, and gas networks. The Opportunity This consulting role involves delivering strategic guidance, technical expertise, and hands-on implementation/support for GIS-EAM integration projects. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design, implement, and manage digital solutions that support engineering, environmental, and infrastructure projects. The Team Black & Veatch’s Digital Delivery team is a dynamic, cross-functional group of experts in data, technology, asset management systems, and geospatial systems. We deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that help clients navigate complex infrastructure challenges across diverse industries. Key Responsibilities GIS Consulting: Assess client GIS environments, recommend improvements, configure and manage GIS datasets, develop custom maps and spatial analysis tools, and provide training. EAM Integration: Advise clients on best practices for integrating GIS with EAM platforms, support data migration and validation, and configure spatially enabled assets and work management. Project Delivery: Lead or support GIS-EAM integration projects from planning to execution, develop project documentation, and ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure alignment with utility regulations. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree and 10+ years of related experience with GIS platforms in a utility environment. 3+ years working with EAM systems (Trimble Unity/Cityworks, IBM Maximo, IFS). Strong understanding of utility asset types, spatial data standards, and excellent communication skills. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience, with 10+ years in a business/consulting environment. Work Environment/Schedule Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment. Position location is flexible but requires a hybrid schedule out of an existing Black & Veatch Office. Travel up to 25%.
