Teaches clinical skills courses such as Practice of Medicine I, II, or III within an integrated case-based curriculum, focusing on Research, Genomics, Inter-professional Collaboration, Biomedical Informatics, and Leadership. Assists with LCME accreditation and engages in scholarship and research to advance medical education and knowledge. Appropriate rank will be determined by the Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine's Merit and Promotion Committee. Job Details

Category: Exempt Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience Pay Basis: Annually Subject to Grant Funding: No Essential Job Functions

Curriculum planning, evaluation, and revision using PBL methodology. Preparation of course materials, syllabi, assignments, and handouts. Facilitation of PBL discussions and student support outside class. Record keeping of attendance, grades, and other documentation. Assessment and grading of student work and examinations. Office hours for advising and assistance. Advising students on academic and career paths. Collaborating with colleagues on teaching and research. Participation in committees and student recruitment activities. Engagement in community events and public presentations. Research, publication, and grant writing in medical education. Supervision and mentorship of students and junior faculty. Staying current with developments in the field. Performing other duties as assigned. Job Requirements

Knowledge:

Medicine, Biology, Education & Training, English, Psychology, Customer & Personal Service, Therapy & Counseling, Sociology & Anthropology, Mathematics, Administration & Management. Skills:

Effective communication, teaching proficiency, written communication, instructional methods, problem-solving, reasoning, performance assessment, monitoring, and improvement skills. Abilities:

Communicating, listening, reading, writing, applying rules to problems. Physical Requirements:

Speech recognition and clarity. Certifications/Licenses:

MD or DO with completed residency. Education:

Terminal degree in the field. Experience:

Minimum two years of teaching excellence in healthcare; preferred three years in medical school and experience with case-based learning and LCME accreditation. Additional info:
