The Neurology & Immunology Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) directly engages Key Thought Leaders at multiple sclerosis centers, academic institutions, and private neurology practices. The TLL is a product, market, disease state, and company knowledge expert who develops business strategies to build EMD Serono's reputation and credibility in the MS and neurology space. This role serves as the primary point of contact between diverse external and internal customers, responsible for identifying customer needs and providing solutions to develop relationships with Key Thought Leaders (KTLs) and improve customer satisfaction. The TLL serves as the Product and Services expert for Mavenclad and the neurology product portfolio, delivering superior customer service to MS Centers in the area. Responsibilities
Develop and cultivate strong clinical relationships with the MS/Neurology medical community, including MS Centers, Priority/National accounts and teaching institutions, focusing on unmet clinical needs and providing solutions perceived as best in class. Develop deep customer/market insights at the territory level to compliantly build long-term relationships, broader access, and advocacy. Achieve commercial goals defined at national and area levels, executing activities compliant with Company and Therapeutic Area guidelines, PhRMA guidelines, and the Competency Model. Grow Mavenclad advocacy at the Area level while collaborating with the overlapping ABM responsible for prescribers. Coordinate development and maintenance of account plans with Marketing, Sales, Market Access & Patient Support Programs/MS Lifelines to enhance clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction. Independently conduct data analysis and translate industry trends into solid business strategies and action plans. Develop and execute plans that position EMD Serono as the primary MS solutions partner for MS Centers and teaching institutions, including objectives and talking points for customer-facing activities at professional congresses (e.g., AAN, CMSC, ACTRIMS, ECTRIMS). Plan and implement effective professional education programs. Leverage virtual tools to maximize engagement with customers remotely as needed. Provide input on speaker selection for N&I speaker bureau; conduct speaker training when necessary. Stay abreast of industry trends and MS treatment approaches, maintaining knowledge of product reimbursement/formulary and market access. Cultivate home office and regional relationships to identify market opportunities and participate in internal programs to seize them (e.g., focus groups, field tests). Demonstrate professionalism, ethics, compliance, and integrity at all times. Travel 50% or more, with some overnights. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in business or science. English required; other language skills may be a plus. Minimum 8 or more years of field sales, product marketing, or medical/clinical experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry. Minimum 2 years TLL or SAM experience with a proven track record. Current valid driver's license is required. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in business or science preferred. 3 or more years of experience in the MS, Neurology and/or specialty biologics markets, with a proven track record of building relationships in these areas. Experience in institutional sales and/or large account selling is a plus. Experience launching new products and/or services in specialty biologics markets is a plus. Demonstrated science acumen and ability to work as a clinical solutions partner. Ability to drive innovative solutions and think creatively. Lead high-impact account teams across Area, Region, and Nation that drive KOL engagement. Experience building robust account plans and collaborating with cross-functional partners to deliver new tools and solutions for the TLL organization. Experience leading national and regional projects and strong strategic/critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across functions in a complex organization. Proven track record building relationships with Neurologists in the area. Fluency with virtual/digital communication tools. High level of accountability and ownership of results; self-motivated and energized by challenges. Location
