CrowdStrike is looking to hire a Senior Database Engineer to help us take our database systems to the next level. We're looking for a highly technical, hands-on engineer, who has extensive experience working with Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, and is comfortable building automation around large-scale cloud-based critical systems. What You'll Do:

Maintain a deep understanding of the data components - including Kafka, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, and use that understanding to operate and automate properly configured clusters. Develop infrastructure services to support the CrowdStrike engineering team's pursuit of a full devops model. Work closely with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, regardless of when they happen. Keep petabytes of critical business data safe, secure, and available. Work with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments. What You'll Need:

General Skills Needed: Open Source, Cloud Computing (AWS, GCP, OCI), On Prem (bare metal), Python, Infrastructure as Code (Chef, Terraform, Puppet, Salt, Nomad). Databases skills Needed: (at least one) RDBMS and/or NoSQL. Specific Skills Needed (at least two): Cassandra, Kafka, Search (OS/ES), Redis/Valkey, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Memcache, Zookeeper, SQS, Pulsar, Neo4j.
