Seasonal Tax - FSO / GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory - BCM Senior Manager

EY’s National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national and multinational clients with domestic and international transactional tax planning and advisory services. The Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice helps clients with all aspects of financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing. TARAS has been serving the complex and global tax reporting needs of companies for approximately ten years.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clients with tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions between US GAAP and IFRS, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
Assist companies with all aspects of their tax provision preparation; review the tax provision process to improve efficiency, accuracy, and the control environment.
Assess tax risk and control environments, including considerations beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field; significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred
Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership
Minimum of 10 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS
Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation
Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Preferred/Ideal
Experience with ASC 740 and/or IAS 12; corporate tax planning and compliance; broad exposure to federal income taxation
