Credit Risk US | Credit Risk | Credit Analyst
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Credit Risk Analyst to join our growing Credit Risk team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit risk management, along with a deep understanding of US banking regulations and policies. As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in assessing, analyzing, and managing credit risk for the organization. The candidate must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive credit assessments and risk analysis of potential and existing clients, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the development, implementation, and review of credit risk management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistency and compliance across all business units.
Monitor the credit portfolio to identify potential risks and recommend strategies to mitigate exposure. Provide support in managing credit concentrations and ensuring appropriate risk diversification.
Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, model risk scenarios, and provide actionable insights to senior management. Prepare high-quality presentations using PowerPoint for internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with the development and execution of credit stress tests and scenarios to assess potential risks under adverse conditions. Provide support in building risk models to predict credit losses.
Work closely with various teams including Relationship Managers, Risk Control, and Compliance to evaluate potential risks, create action plans, and ensure alignment on risk-related issues.
Act as a resource for identifying and resolving complex credit risk issues, ensuring timely mitigation and reducing exposure to the organization.
Qualifications
3-4 years of experience in the banking industry in the US, with a focus on credit risk management.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, financial modeling) and PowerPoint (presentation creation and data visualization). Familiarity with risk management software is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of US banking regulations
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, assess risk exposures, and communicate findings effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and risk analysis in a clear and concise manner.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications (CFA, FRM, etc.) are a plus.
