As the Director of Strategic Finance for Marketing, you will lead FP&A for Marketing strategy and partner closely with the Marketing Leadership team, including the Chief Marketing Officer. You will be a valued business partner in driving cross-functional strategic planning and delivering insights to generate growth for Gong through marketing investments. You will report on meaningful financial and operational metrics and lead strategic projects to drive data-led business decisions. You will help define strategic investments that support long-term success and gain visibility into the goals of each Marketing function to drive profitable growth at scale.
Responsibilities
Manage, develop and grow a team of strategic finance professionals to help drive Gong’s growth through Marketing Partner with Marketing leadership in modeling long-term P&L trajectory Strategically manage ongoing financial analysis on pipeline and funnel metrics and an investment model to support hyper growth Lead forecasting and budgeting, partnering with department leaders on monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis Prepare and analyze management presentations, including monthly reporting, Board of Directors materials, QBRs, and Finance Review Partner with the Accounting Team to support the month-end close process Build complex financial models and analyses, including competitive analyses, gross margin analyses, pro forma models, scenario-based models with sensitivities Provide financial expertise to support headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning Develop and implement efficient financial processes to support a rapidly growing business Qualifications
8+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, equity research, strategy consulting, or strategic/corp finance, preferably at a high-tech or enterprise software company with deep knowledge of SaaS B2B Marketing Proven business partnership experience with C-suite executives and the ability to provide thought leadership across functions Deep experience with financial applications, including ERP, CRM, and financial planning tools (Salesforce, Netsuite, Excel, etc.) Familiarity with Enterprise Software (SaaS) metrics, including defining and measuring robust marketing investment models Experience in a startup environment with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and operational execution Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related discipline Perks & Benefits

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including skills, qualifications, education, experience, and location. Gong uses a location-based compensation structure, so ranges may differ by location. Total compensation may include base salary, incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
