The FERC Certificates Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing and coordinating company data for preparation and compilation of reports and filings to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The ability to translate and communicate obscure regulatory requirements to internal, cross-discipline groups and work in a team environment are keys to success in this role!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
Approves FERC citations for all capital projects Submits accurate and timely certificate filings with the FERC Prepares, coordinates, and submits blanket and 2.55(b) reports Ensures compliance with FERC regulations Follows industry events, new regulations, and other pipeline’s filings to understand and quantify the impact to projects Supports the development of rate case positions on significant issues Analyzes new FERC pronouncements, identified potential effects on the company, devises and implements efficient solutions for compliance Prepares and files tariff changes to meet the business needs of company partners Runs and maintains an electronic Tariff and the Informational Postings website Assists in the development of responses to FERC and customer data requests Collaborates with company partners to gather and review data for FERC certificate filings and reports and ensure they are consistent with business strategies and practices Supports commercial and business development teams to evaluate new opportunities/services Provides input into legal pleadings Monitors FERC regulations, requirements, and industry trends pertaining to filings and compliance Maintains current knowledge of the regulatory process and requirements Mentors others Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field and a minimum of four (4) years’ interstate pipeline work experience Preferred: Direct experience in interstate regulatory area
Other Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Knowledge of FERC process and requirements Preferred: Experience interpreting and modifying tariff language and commercial contracts
, Independently, gathers and performs analysis of data related to rate filings, past and future cost of service, etc. May perform economic studies, certificate and tariff filings with regulatory agencies. Prepares feasibility studies to determine impact of long-term projects. Performs extensive reports related to allocations issues. Performs extensive regulatory analysis. Must have expert knowledge of FERC regulatory process. Handles diverse range of complex assignments requiring use of experience, innovation, and judgment. May regularly cross into new fields of specialty. Well-developed internal and external network. Seniority level
