The OCI Core Services organization is responsible for the design, build, and operation of the foundational IaaS components—Compute, Networking, and Block Volume—that support higher-level OCI services. It supports a global infrastructure with hundreds of thousands of network devices supporting millions of servers, connected over dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet. Join a fast-paced, cross-functional team, work with proven technical leaders, tackle bleeding-edge infrastructure challenges, and help shape the security of Oracle’s next-generation cloud. You will advise engineering teams on secure design, threat modeling, and security architecture; establish security guardrails; design security processes and tooling; and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to embed security at every layer of our cloud platform. You should be able to communicate effectively with senior leadership and help shape OCI’s security future. This is a full-time role with potential remote options for the right candidate. Proficiency in threat modeling and secure design reviews of complex systems. Prior coding experience in Java, Go, C/C++, Python, with experience in security automation tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a Principal or Senior Principal Security Engineer at a major cloud provider (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP). Hands-on experience building OCI or AWS services. Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code (Terraform/Ansible), and security checks in build/test workflows. Proven track record of collaborating with product and engineering teams for secure cloud services at scale. Experience deploying security services within major cloud providers. Familiarity with threat modeling frameworks (STRIDE, PASTA). Expertise in network protocols: IPv4, IPv6, TCP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VxLAN, EVPN, DNS, DHCP.
