About the Role
Remitly is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate and Securities Paralegal to be an essential member of the corporate legal team, working with all members of this team and serving as a liaison to other teams across the company. You will report to our Senior Counsel, Securities. You Will
Public company matters: Maintain minute books and corporate records. Manage the board portal and help prepare for board of director meetings and annual shareholder meetings. Support disclosure control processes and audit processes. SEC filings: Help prepare SEC filings, including periodic filings, Section 16 filings, and proxy statements. Equity plan administration: Work closely with the stock administration team on equity compensation matters. Subsidiary management: Support corporate compliance for Remitly's U.S. and international subsidiaries. Responsibilities include organizing subsidiary board and shareholder meetings, assisting with the formation of new entities and offices, and collaborating across teams and external advisors. Transactional matters: Help with due diligence, document preparation and execution, and closing and integration for acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Project management and process building: Collaborate across teams on corporate projects, including stock administration, treasury, tax, internal audit, HR/people, and more. Look for opportunities to improve processes within the legal team and across the organization. You Have
5+ years of relevant corporate paralegal experience, ideally at a major law firm and/or in-house at a public company. Bachelor's degree. Familiarity with SEC filings and requirements. Interest in implementing new systems or creating strategies to build processes that improve accuracy or efficiency. Comfort working with senior management and outside counsel. Team player who is also comfortable making decisions independently. Compensation Details
The starting base salary range for this position is typically $116,000-$145,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
