Tech Consulting - Palantir Data Engineer – Manager The opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on, technically oriented Manager to join our team and help deliver data-driven insights and solutions to Industrials & Energy clients. You will guide clients through the evolving world of analytics, data governance, and modern data platforms, with a strong focus on Palantir Technologies. You will be technically engaged, building solutions using Palantir Foundry tools (Pipeline Builder, Workshop, AIP Agent Studio, Contour, Quiver), and other Foundry tools, while also managing and mentoring teams of strategists and engineers. You will advise clients on data strategies, governance, and modern data architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. This is a high-growth, high-visibility role with significant opportunities to shape data strategies across industrial and energy client operations. In this role, you will design and build analytics solutions that deliver significant business value. You will collaborate with other data and analytics professionals, management, and stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are translated into effective technical solutions. Key responsibilities

Understanding and analyzing business requirements to translate them into technical requirements. Designing, building, and operating scalable data architecture and modeling solutions. Staying up to date with the latest trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge. Build, deploy, and maintain solutions in Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder workflows, Workshop applications, AIP Agent Studio automations, Contour integrations, and Quiver data visualizations. Translate business initiatives into prioritized use cases with measurable ROI and manage delivery across multiple domains. Define and execute the Data & AI strategy for Industrials, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas or Utilities clients, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Develop and champion data literacy programs, training, and change management initiatives to embed a data-driven culture across client organizations. Communicate analytical findings through data storytelling, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to business and technical audiences. Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders across operations, IT, engineering, and executive leadership. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industrial domain trends, and advances in Palantir Foundry & AI platforms. Develop resource plans and budgets for engagements, ensuring effective engagement economics. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of analysts, engineers, and data stewards to deliver high-quality outcomes. Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures in collaboration with enterprise architects and IT to support business intelligence and advanced analytics needs. Oversee cloud-based data management platforms and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, and Hadoop for ingestion, storage, and processing. Drive the design and implementation of analytical models, data pipelines, and visualizations to solve complex business problems and generate actionable insights. Leading workstream delivery and ensuring quality in all processes. Engaging with clients on a daily basis, actively participating in working sessions, and identifying opportunities for additional services. Skills and attributes for success

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Proven experience in managing and delivering projects effectively. Ability to build and manage relationships with clients and stakeholders. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., statistics, computer science, engineering, mathematics) with either prior consulting experience or Industrials & Energy company experience preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data governance, or data strategy, preferably in industrial, energy, or related sectors. At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, including Pipeline Builder, Workshop, AIP Agent Studio, Contour, Quiver, and related tools. Deep knowledge of data governance, including data quality frameworks, stewardship models, compliance, and policy creation. Demonstrated experience designing and deploying scalable data architectures. Proficiency with data analytics tools and platforms: SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, Dataiku, or similar. Expertise in advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning approaches to solve operational or financial challenges. Hands-on experience with big data and cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure (Data Factory, AzureML), AWS, Hadoop. Ability to lead technical delivery and manage small teams effectively. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business domains. Passion for mentoring, knowledge sharing, and building high-performing data teams. Strong understanding of regulatory and data privacy implications within industrial or energy sectors. A valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to travel to client locations as needed. Preferred certifications and additional qualifications

Certifications in Palantir, AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or related platforms. Experience with Data Office Organization and IT Architecture. Familiarity with Digital Fluency and Hybrid Collaboration techniques. Strong emotional agility to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics. Experience with advanced data analytics tools and techniques. Familiarity with machine learning concepts and applications. Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data engineering. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $125,500 to $230,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $150,700 to $261,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
