BNY is a leading global financial services company at the heart of the global financial system, influencing nearly 20% of the world’s investible assets. We are seeking a Senior Vice President to join our Institutional Lending team supporting Broker-Dealers in New York City, NY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Manage overnight and intraday loan portfolios to support the credit needs of various financial market participants.
Interact daily with Financial Market Utilities and Broker Dealer Clients regarding trading activity and associated settlement/margin obligations.
Structure lending solutions to client liquidity needs on a secured and unsecured basis.
Provide high-quality analysis of complex transactions and make presentations as needed.
Exercise strong lending and analytical judgment while making timely decisions.
Analyze the purpose of financing, sources of repayment, and quality of collateral in response to requests for credit.
Monitor news of assigned borrowers and assist with risk management efforts.
Work closely with senior relationship managers, portfolio management, client executives, and analyst teams.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A Bachelor’s Degree, with an MBA or graduate degree in a business-related field preferred.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in finance, banking, credit risk management, or financial risk management.
Strong communication skills and a record of accomplishment in delivery.
Strong relationship management skills and the ability to partner with various constituents.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface with customers, team members, and senior management.
