Summary

Under general supervision, is responsible for organizing and stocking election supplies; assists with annual inventory; prepares, installs, delivers, and picks up election equipment and supplies; destroys archived and outdated election material; performs errands between various Elections Department sites; cleans the warehouse facility; and performs related duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists with annual warehouse and fixed asset inventory Organizes and stocks election supplies Prepares, delivers, and picks up early voting and Election Day equipment and supplies for polling locations Installs polling place equipment such as computer tabulation equipment, tables and chairs Makes temporary repairs and sets up additional tables, and chairs at polling locations after initial vendor delivery as needed Distributes and picks up election equipment, ballots, and supplies and receives Election Day supplies Destroys election materials as instructed by Election Liaison Performs errands to deliver or pick up information, equipment, or supplies between various ElectionsDepartment sites Cleans the warehouse facility Performs other duties as required Minimum Qualifications

High School or a General Education Development (GED) certificate Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of safety, security and storage and equipment preparation requirements for voting system equipment, supplies, and accessories. Knowledge of the warehouse plan for storage of voting system equipment and security systems, emergency fire and disaster plans; knowledge of voting system preparation procedures and assist in the preparation of equipment as directed Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, outside agencies, temporary employees, and the public Acts in the name of the Elections Administrator and shall perform official acts as may be lawfully done and performed by such Elections Administrator in person, pursuant to Sections 31.035, 31.039, and 31.040 of the Texas Election Code Must have a valid driver's license Required to work overtime during election preparations Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Working conditions are primarily in a warehouse environment with constant exposure to dust and frequent exposure to temperature extremes Constantly moves items weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally moves items weighing up to 75 pounds Frequently moves about the warehouse Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information Positions self to perform essential functions Must be able to remain in a stationary position
