CAAs and CRNAs are highly skilled health professionals who work under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists to implement anesthesia care plans. They possess a premedical background, a baccalaureate degree, and complete a comprehensive didactic and clinical program at the graduate school level. Certified Anesthesia Assistant
Holds current active state licensure as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in the state of Georgia. Graduate of a Master’s degree in Anesthesia. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer. Demonstrates current competency in clinical responsibilities. Ability to perform clinically as an anesthetist in the facility setting. Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from equipment to perform anesthesia care. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patient populations. Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques. Ability to maintain confidential records. Ability to implement and adhere to facility policies and procedures. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
Holds current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia. Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs. Is currently certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer. Demonstrates current competency in clinical responsibilities. Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in the facility setting. Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from equipment to perform anesthesia care. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patient populations. Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques. Ability to maintain confidential records.
