This posting reflects an opening for an X-ray Technologist I; Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels (X-ray Technologist II) based on skills, qualifications, and experience. Shift: 7a-730p. Union: Yes. Responsible for performing a variety of standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, equipment operation, and maintaining related records. Responsibilities
Performs standardized radiological radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing proper patient position, identification and exposure techniques. Operates all equipment within the modality and ensures proper setup and adjustments of immobilization and radiation protective devices. Reviews and analyzes patient characteristics (body size, thickness, age, physical condition) and suspected pathology to perform examinations. Assists physicians with various procedures. Reports equipment malfunctions and the need for adjustments or repairs. Maintains related records and notations. Contributes to Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures as required. Participates in the educational training of students. Qualifications
Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program - Radiologic Technology (Required). Certification/License: Basic Life Support Certification; Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Employment Details
