$159,100.00/yr - $218,800.00/yr About Ramp Ramp is a financial operations platform designed to save companies time and money. We’re rethinking how modern finance teams function in the age of AI. Ramp powers a fast-growing platform that includes payments, corporate cards, vendor management, procurement, travel booking, and automated bookkeeping with built-in intelligence. About the Role We’re seeking a Design-Engineer passionate about learning from an exceptional team and shaping how designers and engineers collaborate to deliver outstanding experiences rapidly. You’ll empower our design and engineering teams to create better, more consistent experiences across all products and platforms. You’ll evolve and maintain our design system in both design and front-end libraries, infrastructure, and documentation, and help build internal tooling to promote velocity. You’ll work to improve design-engineering collaboration, excel in UI and accessible design, and contribute to in-browser design work and emerging CSS properties. As an individual contributor, you’ll learn from leaders and help amplify user voices to deliver exceptional experiences daily. What You’ll Do Help maintain and evolve the design and development of Ramp’s cross-platform design system Contribute to the design and user experience for our core product by evolving the design process through documentation and guidelines Collaborate with product/engineering/design teams to develop and implement tooling with a focus on quality and speed Champion user experience and accessibility; maintain a high quality bar Advocate for users by iterating on and evolving core products and experiences, delivering value daily Collaborate with designers to evolve long-term product vision, design systems, and internal collaboration processes Collaborate with engineers on elegant and consistent component APIs and developer experience Participate in day-to-day team rituals (design critiques, story creation, weekly stand-ups, etc.) Support hiring to grow the team and bring diverse perspectives What You Need Minimum 5 years of tech/startup or digital product agency experience, or equivalent Strong understanding of Product Design software (preferably Figma) Excellent visual design skills and strong UX/UI understanding Excellent front-end development skills in semantic HTML, CSS (latest features), and JavaScript (prefer React) Experience maintaining a reusable component library and attention to design details in code Strong organizational skills and a love for documentation Excellent communication and collaboration skills bridging design and engineering Nice to Haves Ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical peers Solid understanding of accessibility development practices Benefits (for U.S.-based Full-time Employees) 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you Partially covered for dependents One Medical annual membership 401k (including employer match) Flexible PTO Fertility HRA (up to $5,000 per year) WFH stipend for home office needs Wellness stipend Parental Leave Relocation support to NYC or SF (as needed) Pet insurance Other Notices Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
