Position Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products through the manufacturing process. This role coordinates with procurement, operations, quality, and logistics to balance customer demand, inventory levels, and capacity while driving on-time delivery and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and communicate short- and long-term production schedules in alignment with customer demand and capacity. Analyze MRP/ERP output to convert planned orders into production work orders. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and production constraints to minimize shortages and downtime. Adjust production plans proactively to address changes in demand, supply disruptions, or equipment availability. Review work orders daily to track progress, schedule adherence, and resolve variances. Partner with operations leaders to align workforce and machine capacity with production requirements. Generate and distribute weekly/monthly reports on production performance, schedule attainment, and material availability. Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline scheduling, reduce lead times, and optimize resource utilization. Ensure ERP/MRP system accuracy by maintaining planning parameters such as lead times, lot sizes, and safety stock. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain (manufacturing environment strongly preferred). Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, or similar). Strong Excel and data analysis skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and capacity planning. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Core Competencies
