FMH Conveyors is searching for a Production Planner responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems. Monitoring & Tracking KPIs regarding production efficiencies.

The Production Planner is a member of the Supply Chain team and collaborates with the other functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, HR) on executing company strategies, meeting budgets and the work unit planned processes. This person must demonstrate hands-on leadership in unison with the Director of Supply Chain & Logistics on implementing strong cultural beliefs and values throughout the organization.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.

Conducts capacity analysis by specific work center

Expedites and prioritizes work orders by coordinating and managing daily production schedule meetings

Issues and tracks production orders, ensuring that required material is supplied to the production floor, as according to the production schedule

Analysis sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements

Interfaces with manufacturing and purchasing staff on material status and production planning issues

Maintains production item master setup, sets up daily production entries and posts production entries

Displays willingness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process; Makes timely decisions

Observes safety and security procedures; Uses equipment and materials properly; Reports potentially unsafe conditions

Oversees cycle counts

Analyze labor on daily production reports

Ensures company policies and procedures are reviewed often and notifies the Director of Manufacturing when such policies or procedures may need to be revised to increase work efficiency in the department

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Associates Degree or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 4 years of production planning in a manufacturing environment

ERP systems experience and a willingness & capability to learn new computer software programs

Experience with lean concepts and tools

Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel

Must be able to work independently as well collaborate with production managers

Exceptional organizational skills required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to an eight-hour shift; ascend and push, and pull up to 50 lbs; bend, twist and reach to check freight, stack boxes, and label.
