This position focuses on direct clinical care, collaborating with the treatment team to ensure high-quality psychiatric services for inmates/residents. Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: up to
$205
per hour (dependent on contract/employment type). Schedule:
40 hours per week , dayshift. Location
Richmond, TX Responsibilities
Provide direct psychiatric care to assigned patients. Perform psychiatric evaluations: admission, assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and discharge. Manage psychotropic medication prescribing, monitoring, and adjustments. Participate in civil commitment, legal, or due process proceedings when applicable. Contribute to quality improvement / quality management (QI/QM) programs. Ensure compliance with internal controls, departmental policies, state licensing, and maintaining required registrations. Qualifications
Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry Active and unrestricted license in the state of TX; Psychiatry - Corrections is required Maintains an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification Excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling Sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence Valid Driver's License Active TX DEA registration Benefits
