University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill The Department of Neurology of the University of North Carolina (UNC) School of Medicine is seeking to fill a full-time academic position for a Board Certified/Eligible neurologist with a specific interest and experience in Movement Disorders and neuromodulation techniques such as deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound ablation. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in the care of patients with movement disorders, having undergone fellowship training which includes 1) surgical planning of available targets for symptomatic management of movement disorders; 2) intraoperative micro-electrode recording experience; 3) programming of deep brain stimulation devices. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements : Qualified candidates must possess MD or MD/PhD or equivalent. Completed ACGME certified Neurology residency Board Certified/Eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in movement disorders; and candidates must be board-eligible or board-certified/eligible in Neurology and be able to obtain/hold a North Carolina medical license. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience : Prior experience planning for focused ultrasound ablation is preferred but not required.
