NorthBay Health is seeking a Board-Certified, Licensed Neurosurgeon to join our healthcare team in Northern California, located between the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sacramento. We focus on work-life balance and professional growth.
The Neurosurgeon will manage complex neurological conditions, providing inpatient and outpatient care, including diagnosing, treating, and surgically managing conditions of the brain, spine, and nervous system. Collaboration with other specialists is essential.
The Department of Neurosurgery offers care for brain tumors, spinal conditions, trauma, degenerative diseases, and more, utilizing advanced technology and surgical techniques.

Position Overview
Call Schedule: 24-hour shifts, 0700-0700
Call Ratio: 3-7 days/month
Patient Load: 15-20 patients in clinic; surgery cases vary; adult and geriatric populations
Team Support: Physician Assistants
Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
Equipment: Advanced neurosurgical tools, MRI, CT, Neuro Navigation, Spinal Imaging, EMG
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage neurological conditions
Perform neurosurgical procedures (brain/spine surgeries, minimally invasive, craniotomies, fusions, stereotactic)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team
Post-operative care and follow-up
Respond to emergency cases
Participate in research and clinical trials
Educate patients and families; mentor residents/fellows
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance
Qualifications
MD or DO, completed Neurosurgery Residency, Spine Surgery fellowship preferred
Board-certified
Valid California medical license
Proven neurosurgery experience with complex cases
Strong surgical, diagnostic, interpersonal skills
Effective team collaboration and communication skills
Compensation & Perks
0.5 FTE Part-time with $528,645 income guarantee for 2 years (W-2)
Flexible scheduling and call rotation
