Our interdisciplinary team provides integrated medical and behavioral health services in a supportive environment. Position Overview

We are searching for a dedicated

Phlebotomist

to enhance our care team at CHA PACE. This unique role allows you to travel to PACE participants' homes to perform essential phlebotomy procedures, including blood sample collections, point-of-care testing, and the collection of self-collected samples. Your responsibilities will include ensuring accurate documentation, safe handling of blood samples, and maintaining a sterile environment. We are looking for someone with mastery in venipuncture and a commitment to providing compassionate care to our participants. Key Responsibilities

Travel to PACE participants' homes to draw blood samples. Greet participants warmly, verifying their identity prior to sample collection. Thoroughly explain the phlebotomy procedure to ensure comfort and understanding. Perform venipuncture with precision to minimize discomfort. Label specimens immediately after collection with critical patient information. Conduct additional point-of-care testing (e.g., INRs) as necessary. Provide post-collection care, monitor vital signs, and address any adverse reactions. Dispose of materials following safety protocols to maintain health standards. Maintain detailed records of any medical issues that may affect test results. Transport collected samples to the laboratory promptly. Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required. Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomist; candidates without certification but with over a year of recent full-time phlebotomy experience may be considered. Experience:

At least 1 year of routine phlebotomy experience preferred. Other Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for travel are essential. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian-Creole is a plus.
