Base pay range $36.00/hr - $42.00/hr
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise the night-to-night nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, facility policies. The objective is to ensure the highest degree of quality care at all times.
Qualifications
Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
Current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
Interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
Ability to deal tactfully with customers, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies, and the public.
Leadership and supervisory ability; willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.
Physical requirements
Movements throughout the workday as required.
Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
Adequate vision and hearing with or without prosthetics to perform duties.
Ability to work independently, with flexibility, integrity, and teamwork.
Good general health and emotional stability.
Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, or hostile individuals.
May be required to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, and residents weighing up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions (e.g., HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B) as appropriate for the role.
Schedule Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Rate will be based on experience and licensure.
