Overview
*Job Summary and Responsibilities* Renders professional nursing care to mother baby couplets, pediatric, gynecological, and overflow patients in support of medical care as directed by physicians and in accordance with established hospital customer relations credo policies and procedures. The RN is responsible to maintain and continually improve the specific skill set required to perform the duties of an RN within the Maternal Child Health areas. The RN is responsible for developing and achieving personal annual performance improvement objectives in conjunction with the service line manager. ALL REGISTERED NURSES will render professional nursing care to patients and support medical care as directed by physicians. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The RN shall support Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities and patient satisfaction. #RN@DH Job Requirements
Six months of recent Mother Baby or Pediatric hospital experience ASN or Nursing Diploma required License/Registration/Certification
Current and active CA RN license Current BLS certification from American Heart Association Current NRP certification required Current PALS certification required Preferred
