Overview
Atrius Health is seeking a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) for a full-time floater position serving Somerville, Cambridge, and Kenmore. Summary: A RDMS performs diagnostic and special procedure ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures, reporting typically to a radiology or ultrasound coordinator. Per diem employees are encouraged but not required to obtain the certification. High School diploma or equivalency (GED/HiSET/TASC) required. Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonographic program and ARDMS certification. CEU documentation required for certification. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty. Experience
Two years of ultrasound experience. Skills and Abilities
Able to independently perform tests. Good interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills. Ability to take initiative and work independently. Communication: effectively interact with patients who may be distressed; inform patients of any inconvenience; relay pertinent information to the interpreting physician. Adaptability: adjust to changing pace of department and interruptions. Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic and special procedure ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures. Typically report to a radiology or ultrasound coordinator. Support department operations and patient care as part of a multi-location imaging team. Schedule and Location
Schedule: Four 10-hour days (Mon – Cambridge, Tue – Kenmore, Wed – Somerville, Fri – Kenmore), 7:30am–6:00pm. Primary Location: Somerville, MA. Other Locations: Boston, MA – Kenmore. Job Details
