Neurosurgery - Physician - Des Moines - Base Salary $1.1 Million, Sign-on $100,000 MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join our collegial Neurosurgery team. We offer a competitive base salary of $1.1 million with a 2-year income guarantee, a $100,000 sign-on bonus, moving allowance of $15,000, CME $5,000 and time off 31 days up to 35 days per year, malpractice with tail coverage, 403(b) and more.

Opportunity Details

Case mix includes complex spine, neurovascular conditions, brain and busy trauma service

Two Clinic Days / 3 OR Days

No elective cases or clinic while on Trauma Call

Dedicated Clinic RN for each Physician

Call 1:4 with APP taking 1st call

APP’s primary assist with daily inpatient rounding

On-site X-Ray, CT and MRI/Functional MRI

Robust spine center with integrated Pain and PMR

EMR: CERNER Moving to EPIC Fall 2025

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is a 550-bed Level II Trauma center that has served the community since 1893, with a tertiary service area of 1.4 million. Our closed ICUs include a dedicated Neuro Trauma ICU supported by full-time Pulmonary Critical Care and Surgical Critical Care physicians. MercyOne features block scheduling, 3 navigation stations, o-arm, minimally invasive capabilities and a Bi-Plane suite.
