Sr. Data Analyst - Pro Experience

Position Purpose:
The Sr Data Analyst will serve as a key role supporting the Home Depot Pro strategic growth initiatives. As part of the Pro Experience team, the Sr Data Analyst will be responsible for owning individual analytical projects and team initiatives that involve analyzing data, designing pilot campaigns, building Tableau dashboards, and communicating findings effectively to partner teams.
This role is designed for individuals with advanced analytical skills who can leverage large data sets to drive actionable insights. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of data visualization tools and statistical analysis techniques, demonstrating the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities: Establish reporting standards and best practices. Architect and implement a reporting framework. Oversee data mining efforts. Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, UX designers and end-users to determine requirements. Data analysis, development of SQL scripts, stored procedures & triggers, and report generation. Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data Data Cleansing/validation Prepare data load scripts for mass data load from various data sources Use of varied database applications/analytical tools Enhancements/modifications to systems and procedures Use of varied database applications/analytical tools Enhancements/modifications to systems and procedures Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Position Reports to Sr. Engineer or Sr. Manager Travel Requirements:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications:
2-4 years work experience in data mining, statistical analysis, auditing, and/or forecasting. An intermediary understanding of SQL joining relational tables together and/or some knowledge of one other scripting/compiled/statistical programming language such as Python Experience building reports/analyses with analytical tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, etc.) Prior direct experience in analyzing the relevant subject matter (e.g. Supply Chain, Merchandising, Operations, etc.) B.S. in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Finance, or related quantitative field. Work experience with Google BigQuery. Minimum Education:
